Job Purpose

The Junior Graphic Designer will produce all content for internal marketing to KOFISI Staff and KOFISI Members, producing signs, screens, email headers, PPT presentations, based on creative visions and ideas.

Being a detailed and accurate worker with organizational, communication and time management skills is as vital as is having strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills. This position requires an understanding of the elements and principles of design, a clean and polished design aesthetic.

Overall Duties and Responsibilities

• Present completed ideas to team members
• Stay on top of all trends and maintain best practices
• Produce sketches, storyboards, roughs to visual ideas
• Take work from concept to final execution within set deadlines
• Work proactively with all departments in order to produce brand relevant collateral
• Understand design project requirements and target audience
• Project management, taking a project from a request from Head of department to designed product ready for print.

Basic Requirements

• Qualification & skills
  • Diploma from a recognized academic institution
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating creativity and a clean and polished design aesthetic
  • Proficient in InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator; Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Strong ability to adhere to tight deadlines and pay attention to detail
  • Strong ability to work as a team with other designers
  • Detail oriented with strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work individually in addition to collaborating with a team
  • Hands on experience with logo design, typography, color, web layout design, print production, image selection and package design
• Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years’ professional experience working in creative design
  • Experience working in creative environment would be advantageous
